The Global Village

Good Grief!!! It's finally summer.  School is out, I don't need to get kids ready for school and my mornings are my own.  Time to get back into some early morning training walks and make up for some lost time.  I have seriously lost momentum since I "left Gilroy" and am so looking forward to picking it back up.  So quick status check.... Miles walked so far in training, 375, vertical height gained in the walks, 10,300 feet and more importantly, money raised for research into breast cancer, $1,318.

Just for fun, a quick look at the statistics for this blog shows that it has been viewed by almost 600 people and weirdly, by people all over the world. By far the majority is the US (as one might expect) but following that is Russia, the UK and Argentina...The list goes on.

What a strange global village we live in when I can sit here capturing random thoughts about my breast cancer walks and writing silliness about garlic and it can be read by people in the Philippines or South Korea.  Wow.  So hi folks!  If you are reading this from somewhere "exotic" or interesting, don't be shy.  Leave a comment, say hi and let us know who you are and where you are viewing the blog from.  It would be good to hear from you. So long as your comments are "clean", I'll post them.

So anyway....walking :-)
